Martha Ladly

Dr. Martha Ladly, GRAND PNI, Associate Dean Graduate Studies, OCAD

Ladly specializes in media and technology in art and design. She is a senior researcher with the Mobile Experience Lab and a Network Investigator with GRAND NCE. Ladly held the Chair of the OCADU Research Ethics Board (2008-2011), and was Graduate Program Director of the Interdisciplinary Master’s Program in Art, Media, and Design (2009-2011), and recently led the development of the Graduate Program in Digital Futures. She was the Director of the Canadian digital arts and culture website HorizonZero ( Throughout the 1990s Ladly worked with Peter Gabriel and Real World, leading design teams for international award-winning interactive arts and entertainment projects. Ladly is an internationally published author, and the co-editor of the first anthology on mobile design: Mobile Nation: Creating Methodologies for Mobile Platforms. Ladly recently defended her PhD dissertation on Eros, Women and Technology, with the joint program in Communication and Culture at York University.
